Business Administration (BA)

General Information

The Business Administration Bachelor’s program provides skills for future professional careers in different management sectors for those working as either employees or entrepreneurs. Theoretical methods, as well as their practical implementation, are taught within seminar-style modules. During the first three semesters, basic skills in Business Administration and its neighboring disciplines such as Economics, Law, Information Technology and Mathematics are taught. The fourth semester focuses on methodological and social skills and includes a 3-month practical internship, accompanied by a written scientific report. In the last two semesters, students can choose between several elective modules offering specialization in topics such as:

  • Banking and Financial Management
  • Marketing and Trade Fair Management  
  • Human Resource Management and Lifelong Professional Training
  • Information Technology
  • Accounting and Taxation
  • Production Management and Logistics

Qualification:Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)
Start:winter semester
Duration:3 years including at least 3 month of practical internships
Enrollment Requirements:Higher Education Entrance Qualification (HEEQ) or General or Specialized or HEEQ for University of Applied Sciences or the equivalent Sound German Language Skills (Department of study services/ Dezernat Studienangelegenheiten)

Pre-internship of 6 weeks in a business- administering area, as a rule before the study or by the end of the second semester, or appropriate business professional training or professional practice.
Please note due to the limited admission capacity of HTWK Leipzig not all applications may be successful.
