Civil Engineering and Business Administration (B.Sc.)

General Information

The Civil Engineering and Business Administration Bachelor's course educates industrial engineers with a specialization in civil engineering. In such a field the ability to not only understand and utilize economic skills and methods of construction but also to be aware of their interrelations is of the utmost importance. The study is organized around an equal balance of economic, engineering and scientific knowledge. Furthermore, social, political and ethical aspects of the economic practice are taught. Students learn to recognize connections between economic, engineering and scientific knowledge and to think and act beyond their own areas of responsibility.
Graduates of the Bachelor Civil Engineering and Business Administration course find their field of activity predominantly in the interface between technology and the economy. They are able to observe and to solve tasks from both the perspective of a graduate of business administration as well as that of engineering. Hence, graduates of the course of study can recognize economic, structural engineering and scientific problems, properly explain, analyze and compile solutions independently.
